As an independent registered charity we are
responsible for raising funds for all our work.
We receive grants from both the Nottingham City
Council’s Children’s Services and Nottinghamshire County Council’s Children and
Young People’s Department. In addition we raise additional funds from
subscriptions received from participating schools and donations from grant
making trusts, the corporate sector and individuals.
Offers of funding for our general activities, for
development or for specific activities or items are always welcome and mutually
advantageous publicity can be arranged. Alternatively we will gratefully
receive bona fide “Anonymous” donations.
Our main items of expenditure are staffing,
volunteers' travelling expenses and books, games and other resources for
children.
We also welcome offers of help in kind such as books
and games. We particularly welcome help with fund-raising, promotion and
publications.
Our grateful thanks are extended to the following
organisations and individuals for providing financial support or goods or
services in kind to our cause during the year 2009/10.
