Volunteers’ Network Events

These events are to foster more contact between Volunteers and staff, provide more training opportunities for Volunteers and to share success, exchange ideas, air worries and concerns, learn from one another and brush up on best practice – all this and tea too!

Travel expenses can be claimed for attending these meetings.

Our main events season runs from September to July with the exception of the AGM to which all members are welcome and cordially invited, details are given below.

The summer term is utilised mainly for visits by our Area Co-ordinators to Volunteers in their schools.

Volunteers can attend any Volunteer Network Meeting, please be aware your AC may not be at every meeting. Please let us know if you are coming to the above events so we can sort out refreshments and handouts. Phone Karen on 0115 8765474 or email at karen@literacyvolunteers.org.uk or let your Area Co-ordinator know.
